Hello. To start, I am fully supportive of the City’s initiative to improve our neighborhood sidewalks. We love Lakewood and welcome any improvements to the shared walkways of our community. As a homeowner on a corner lot, the repair estimate we received was substantial. Our corner is active with walkers, joggers, strollers, bicycles, wagons, etc. Since the corner lots are disproportionately exposed to greater length and greater cost, I’m asking Council to consider a cap on out of pocket cost for this initiative. Please keep the homeowner responsibility of repair to a fair and equitable level. My property is scheduled with the City’s contractor to begin work in Spring. Again, I fully support this program and am hopeful the City will approve capping repair cost.

Thank you for your time, be well!
