RESOLUTION 2021-40 - A Resolution to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law to formally identify agreed-upon priorities that Council would like to see reflected in the 2022 budget.

    Small business digital development : Definitely an idea that is worth the study. While we were closed then reopening during the pandemic we offered free local delivery (usually me or a family member). Typically same day not to be outdone by Amazon. Having a centralized process for many other businesses could be the next really cool Lakewood thing that sets us apart from the rest. Love to help study it...GG

    Small business digital development : As an owner of 2 small business in lakewood, both food oriented, we are asked about delivery quite frequently.

    Neither of my businesses have a large enough staff to handle delivery well, especially when it's busy. Especially at Fear's. I (at Fear's) have attempted to utilize 4 of the national delivery services and the fees are astronomical for the business, not to mention orders stolen by drivers.

    I think a local service would be a wonderful addition to the community, especially with so many small businesses. It would potentially open a larger customer base for us as well, especially during a pandemic.
