Your proposed addition of Cindy Marx to council reeks of unfairness. She placed 4th in her ward's election after her '13 -'17 term as at-large council person was tainted by the loss of Lakewood Hospital; she admitted complicity when she said, "We worked very hard to work the best deal we could..." which was based on deception and theft of hospital property, and came within about 600 votes of getting a referendum on the ballot.

The citizens of Lakewood feel duped. You have at least ten other good candidates to choose from ( Mary Brown, Mark Schneider, Ed Rand, Kate Foley, Jason Frederick, Traci Burke, Cindy Marx, Ruth Gillett, Donna Taylor-Kollis, Vinko Kovanovic, Marissa Clark. )

Your public watches you with disillusionment since the Cleveland Clinic stole our hospital with your knowledge and cooperation. We demand to be represented fairly. Choose another candidate and justify your choice. Keep in mind, the candidate you choose must represent the will of the people, evidenced by the vote count. We deserve accountability in our city's democracy.
