Good evening I am a currant tenant at the the Traymore located on 12943 Clifton blvd Lakewood, Ohio. Since pero real estate/ brick and mortar management have taken over It has been absolute nightmare. Besides the fact that It is impossible to reach management, there have been several maintenance issues for example a valve broke and It took over 24 hours to be fixed and I had to stay with family because I had no where to use the bathroom. The shower water consistently changes from normal to boiling hot and I have been burned on several occasions. It is impossible to take a shower without fear of being burned. During the blizzard the pipes froze and my apartment flooded. I came home to find my bathroom accessories damaged by water and the maintenance left a mess of Ice tea gallons jugs and food wrappers in my living room. This is scared me because I thought someone had broken in only to find a note saying they had come in. They also left us without running water for days. I would like better support and be able to enjoy the bare necessities.
Thank you.
Hello, my husband and I are former tenants at the Traymore building located at 12943 Clifton Blvd in Lakewood. Due to increasing maintenance issues, we had no choice but to vacate our apartment and seek out safer housing.
In June of 2022, our oven broke. After 3 months of failed maintenance requests, we had to threaten legal action, and only then did they come to fix the oven. During the last 4 months of our time living there, we were repeatedly scalded by boiling hot water whilst showering, and this would happen anytime someone in the building would flush their toilet. The water would change from normal to scalding within seconds, so there was no way of knowing when it would happen. We eventually stopped showering with warm water. We sent in a maintenance request for this, but it was never fixed. In addition to this, they did not turn the lights on in the hallway in the evenings until quite late, and there were many times when going up and down the stairs, we would resort to using the flashlights on our phones.
Outside of our own apartment, the general environment of the area felt increasingly unhygienic and unsafe. When moving out, we noticed that the back stair case around the second floor felt very loose and unsafe. The garbage area of the building is almost always overflowing with trash, which led to rodents nesting themselves in our car, as our car was located next to the dumpster.
In the last couple of months of us living there, they hired contractors that were working on the first floor apartment, and they would work extremely loudly first thing in the morning, to late at night, and we could hear them from our fourth floor apartment. This work was done without any regard for any of the tenants living there. Due to these issues and circumstances, we felt that we had no choice but to leave and find safer housing. Before Pero Real Estate bought out the apartment building, we had been living there happily for 5 years prior.
Hello I’m currently a resident at pero real estate/brick and mortar tenant located at 12943 clifton blvd Lakewood Ohio. A lot of issues have come around since new management took over first the Maitnence requests take way too long to answer unless you press or keep calling them to tend to an issue. For ex I had an issue with my ceiling it was leaking and a huge bubble was forming on the verge of collapsing. I put a request in and then it took almost a month for them to respond but the only time theu responded to the issue is when I told them “my ceiling had already collapsed and I will have to contact the city” then that following day someone was sent and claimed “oh I was told it collapsed That’s why we came out” that is just bad I had to lie for them to come fix a safety issue for me and my family! Another thing is I told them about the back stairs that need to be welded leading up to my unit and fellow neighbors the back steps are becoming a little loose and not strong enough. When you step on it you almost feel it falling the Maitnence man said we will get a welder when available. That is not safe for my family nor my fellow neighbors who also have children. Please we need some action taken for the building and us as residents it’s not fair or safe for us. Please we need all safety and regulations performed on the building including the building staff/ owners or estate. Thank you I was going to attend with fellow neighbors but I can’t make it. Please send us the help we need right away.
