17. ORDINANCE 05-2025 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the issuance of notes in the amount of not to exceed $2,200,000 in anticipation of the issuance of bonds to pay costs of improving Edgewater Drive, Summit Avenue and other streets located within the City, between certain termini, by resurfacing and replacing concrete, together with all necessary appurtenances thereto; and approving related matters.
Since the site is not allowing me to leave a public comment, only a comment on agenda items, I'd like to thank council and the administration for working with us to make the city safer for cyclists and pedestrians. In the same vein, I would like to highlight that we are talking about spending $2.2+ million to repair streets and a bit later ~$500k to repair paths and other facilities within parks. It just makes financial sense to build bike and pedestrian infrastructure.
