I support the City Council's desire to divert the discussion of the City's contract with Flock to the Committee for Public Safety and the Committee of the Whole, but I question the diversion when data on Lakewood community members is still shared beyond the municipality and I'm more concerned about collaborations with ICE the City may be collaborating with, especially when the City has a huge immigrant community and especially near the time of the midterms when electoral integrity can be compromised by ICE's presence at the polls. How will Lakewood reflect in policies its anti-ICE resolution from months earlier?
I support the City reconsidering our contract with Flock when the contract runs out. I am concerned about improper use of untethered technology and the company in general.
