4. ORDINANCE 30-2026 – AN ORDINANCE adopting the City’s Active Transportation Plan, Safety Action Plan, Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan, Vision Zero policy and the transportation portions of its Climate Action Plan as part of the official plan of the City; and enacting new Sections 901.24, 1161.04 and 161.06 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, to require that the safety improvements those plans call for are in place before a public body or private applicant moves children onto new or longer walking routes, or onto routes that cross streets the City has identified as high-risk; and to take effect upon certification of the election or, if passed by Council in the form submitted, at the earliest time permitted by Section 2.12 of the Charter.
